The Linda and Bill Day Memorial Library
The library was the dream of Linda and Bill Day, wife and husband anthropologists. Theirs was a vision of an accessible resource facility for use in understanding the people, cultures, and lands of our world. The library's mission will be to provide and preserve resources, be they print, film or electronic media, that enlighten, inform and encourage everyone to understand humankind's past, present, and future through a permanent record of our accomplishments, dreams, ideas, beliefs and technologies. Progress Report One At this time the library is in the early formative stages. Linda and Bill's vision is alive and taking form, though it is far too early to determine exactly when and where the library will open. We are hoping to place this large collection of books, tapes, slides and photographs in an easily accessible location, preserved for all to use and enjoy. An Advisory Board is currently being established in order to develop a plan through which the library will become a reality. As the vision becomes more solid, we will keep you informed here at ChiefConsultants.Com |
